SOIL GOES PUBLIC
The world’s soil is disappearing, but people in urban areas don’t care.
So we’re putting soil on the stock exchange to make the issue more visible.
I submitted this idea to the Young Shits Advertising Competition as a solo copywriter without an Art Director. Turns out a good idea is a good idea.

On World Soil Day, the UN will work with the organization behind the NYSE to put soil on the stock exchange.
The stock will continuously plummet by 45,662– the amount of soil (in tons) the world loses every minute.
And the stock will be available on Robinhood.
It’ll show real-time losses of soil (in tons), as well as articles and data on soil depletion.
Robinhood users will have the opportunity to “invest”
by donating to the Global Soil Partnership.
At the same time, the UN will share resources people can use to learn more about soil depletion
and take actionable steps against it.
